Our Garden 2016

It’s FINALLY that time of year again. YAY! We’ve had a windy (and that’s an understatement) spring. The wind has brought some great rains, and also some chilly weather. It’s taken us a while to get out and get our garden started, but no worries! It’s done now!  Continue reading

I’m still alive.

March was a busy month. A fast, busy month. And April is proving to be no different. Between some crazy weather, meetings, birthdays, and everything else March 1st came and we hit the ground runnin’. We haven’t come up for air yet either, but I’m not going to lie: I enjoy the hustle and bustle. It’s a nice change of pace from being cooped up all winter. Hello, MOTIVATION! These warmer days have got me in the most wonderful of moods. It’s like a new found energy! It has also sparked lots of creativity and eagerness to make ideas come to life.

You know that stack of shirts you have that don’t fit you any more? Yeah, same here. I haven’t allowed myself to give them away because, “you just never know when you might need them, or fit into them again (maybe a baby in the far, far, farrrr future?).” So there they sit. Continue reading

one skillet beef stew, hearty beef stew, easy beef stew, winter meal, easy beef stew recipe

This weather has the kids and I in all sorts of confusion. One days it’s spring and the next day it’s winter. The forecast says this and then the wind make it feel like that. It’s been a crap chute lately on three different aspects of our lives: our daily outfits, our moods, and supper plans. Luckily our daily outfits are easy to amend thanks to the idea of layers and the ever handy jacket. Our moods…not so easy. We are all getting cabin fever, and those nice spring-like days are making the wintery ones that much more unbearable. Continue reading

valentine's day, valentines DIY craft, xo, cardboard craft, glitter, valentine's decor, 1 John 4:19

Ya know, I kind of feel bad for Valentine’s day. It comes around right after one of the most decorated holidays of the year. People have (hopefully) finally put their Christmas things away and are too worn out, or still in the Christmas spirit, to move on to the next holiday. Not to mention, there are only so many ways and times one can use a heart to decorate with. And then there’s that thing Continue reading

Homemade Corn Dogs

Who doesn’t like a piping hot corn dog smothered in mustard and ketchup? De-lic-ious! Take me back to the days of the county fair where heaven is fried on a stick. I think it’s safe to say I am yearning for warm weather. Continue reading
